Siddhartha Culture Center is under construction and is located at Dirang in the North-Eastern Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. The purpose of the center is to provide Tibetan Buddhist Cultural Academic Studies and Training in the form of teachings, workshops, and retreats on Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, chanting and arts.

Lama Tashi has found that the Buddhist Culture is dying in his birthplace because of its remoteness and the modernization of society. People no longer care about their spiritual heritage or their spiritual life. In order to help remedy this, the Siddhartha Buddhist Center is being built.

The Siddhartha Buddhist Center will be a place where one can come to experience important and powerful Buddhist teachings. It will also be a place where one can retreat to meditate in order to rejuvenate body, mind and spirit.

Lama Tashi purchased the land for the Center in 1999 from donations received through friends and sponsors. The mountainous area for the Center was chosen specifically for its natural serenity and beauty. It is a very spiritual and powerful setting that will allow great awakening to occur. The foundation for the Siddhartha Buddhist Center was begun late in 2000.

Work on the Siddhartha Culture Center continues. Its completion depends wholly upon donations from people like you. Please help. If you are interested in assisting the Center, please contact Lama Tashi.

Siddhartha Sponsorship Program
provides supporters to the most needy individuals from Himalayan remote regions by establishing a relationship between a sponsor and an adopted person. This program has been active since 2001, with many individuals being assisted through caring sponsors.

By sponsoring through the Siddhartha Sponsorship Program you can establish a direct correspondence and personal relationship with a monk, a nun or a lay child and support them individually. $15/20 US dollars per month can change one’s miserable and hopeless life into a positive future.

You can do this today! Click here if you are interested in sponsorship.

Siddhartha Health Services
will provide health and medical services in the rural areas of Himalayan region. These services will be in the form of health care training, access to trained health/medical practitioners and required medications, plus a mobile medical clinic for those in outlying areas.

Siddhartha Health Services is working to provide health professionals who will give health care trainings to villages—creating life saving knowledge for many people. In many of the villages, there is no access to hospitals, which can be many long miles away without proper roads for vehicles. In these villages, a seemingly trivial accident or minor illnesses can become life threatening due to no proper health care being accessible. There is no emergency medical treatment available for these people. Even if they are able to survive the trip to a hospital many hours away, the poor cannot afford medicines or proper medical treatment. There are no antibiotics or proper medicines for the villagers. Many children die needlessly from childhood diseases such as chickenpox or measles. Siddhartha Home for the Elderly
will provide much needed shelter, nutrition and health service for the elderly from the remote regions of the Himalayas. These elderly people are in desperate need of help.

As part of the tradition of the Himalayas, when children reach grown age, their parents give them their property to live on. This home and land now officially belongs to their children. But sometimes instead of the children caring for their parents, the parents find themselves being sent away from their own homes by their own children, who will not support and care for them. These infirm elderly end up wandering the countryside in desperation without shelter, nutrition or health services.

Siddhartha Home for the Elderly is currently planning a program to help these needy elderly people. If you would like to assist with this program, please contact Lama Tashi.
